It’s better to give…

A payroll giving scheme – Pennies for Promise – has been launched by global payroll provider activpayroll.

The scheme is available to all employers, not just activpayroll customers, and works by rounding down employees’ net pay to the nearest pound. The remainder is donated to a charity of the employer’s choice.

Alison Sellar, managing director of activpayroll, said: ‘We wanted to make a difference to charities. We realised there was a gap for us to combine our in-house skills with our team’s desire to deliver an effective payroll giving scheme.’

The launch marks the company’s 10th anniversary.
