This year’s theme is ‘driving payroll forward’ and the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP), which organises the yearly event, is encouraging employers to take part and make it the biggest yet.
Are you taking part? Drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org telling us what you are doing and we’ll feature you in the magazine next month.
Last year more than 1,500 companies took part through activities that included payroll surgeries, cupcake decorating competitions, payroll-based quizzes and office decorations.
The CIPP will be holding a charity art auction during the week with proceeds going to the Birmingham Centre for Arts Therapies.
And suppliers such as MidlandHR and NorthgateArinso are also taking part.
MidlandHR, for example, has launched an online racing time trial game called Payroll Prix. The objective of the game is to drive round a busy payroll professional’s desk avoiding payslips and other obstacles.
Players can select from eight Mini Coopers to complete the task ranging from the amusingly named ‘RTI Roadster’ to the ‘BACSmobile’.
A promotional pack including stickers, balloons and top tips on making the week a success is available from the CIPP’s website here
