HMRC pilots mediators
Free mediators are being offered to resolve HMRC tax disputes with small businesses in North Wales.
The mediators are HMRC officials trained in dispute resolution who have not been involved in the dispute before and who will work to try to broker an agreement.
HMRC’s assistant director Jim Stevenson said: “Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) will help small and medium sized enterprises resolve disputes without having to go to a tribunal – saving them both time and money.”
